Proprietors Michelle and Tamera, have always loved animals. Michelle comes from generations of dog trainers and brings her lifetime of experience and expertise to this business. In fact, the idea for My Doggy CanTM came from her mother Janet Bates, who owns Guaranteed Dog Training in Stockton, Ca. She is considered the area's premier dog trainer and advisor. (Stockton's Version of the "Dog Whisperer")
Tamera was given Janet's homemade version of this dog correction tool and found it extremely useful in training both of her dogs, a 2 pound Yorkie as well as her 40 pound Australian Shepherd. Tamera's enthusiasm for the positive results from the use of this homemade version of this too, combined with her and Michelle's natural entrepreneurial spirit created the launching pad for the first assembly and marketing of My Doggy CanTM in January of 2007
Did you know that over 4 million dogs were put into shelters this past year? It is the hope of Tamera and Michelle that by providing all dog owners a gentle, effective dog training tool, pet owners can correct the bad behaviors causing many of these pets to become unwanted. They have a huge heart and much love for dogs which is the foundation for this business.
